Christmas Day and Beyond

On Christmas Day I opened presents and I got a whole bunch of cool presents. I got some slippers that had leopard spots on them and they were really soft on the outside, and they were on the couch filled with candy, just like everybody else's, except my parents, theirs were in boxes, I guess, I forgot. I also got this new bike, which was almost the first thing I saw besides the couch full of candy. Here's the picture of my bicycle:

I took this picture, along with a whole bunch of other pictures. Here are some other pictures that I took, including, but not limited to, these pictures:

This is a Japanese garden at the corner. I call it "The Garden at the Corner." But it is at a man's house.

This is a picture from the parking lot behind my house. I'm surprised my parents let me go there.

This is a picture of our street. Some of the pictures that I took are tilted because I think it looks cool to take pictures with the camera at different angles.

This is a picture of the front of our house. This is the one that I tood that is just plain, not at any different angle.

This is a picture of our car. There is a big white smudge in front of the license plate, because license plate numbers are not supposed to be on the Internet.

These are all pictures taken by my new, blue camera that has a red shutter button, two viewfinders that look like binoculars, because it is designed for kids, because some kids can't close one eye. A square LCD screen, an on and off button...It makes a funny noise when you start the camera. It also has white and red spots.

I had a VERY fun Christmas, and those aren't all the presents I got, I got way more presents! I got a Secret Santa present, and it was a Magnetix kit!

K, Bye!

My Recent Writings

My Story of Christmas, by Ben C.

Some people say that Christmas is just about toys. But it is not. Christmas is about how Jesus was born. That is the true meaning of Christmas. There would still be Christmas without toys, Christmas is about giving, too. If you were busy thinking about getting, you would not be able to think about giving. I am going to try to focus on giving this year. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

KIDS ( AND ADULTS ) NEWS TODAY

Today we didn't really do much today. But, we went to the park. A couple of weeks ago I sang with my parents in Senior Primary. I made some pancakes today. Today I got nothing but 100%s on Time4Learning.com and my multiplication. I have already earned a $1.25 by doing all my math problems in less than 10 minutes. I've been doing fancy addition and mastering the multiplication table, especially on my new computer game, Timez Attack. Every time I click on it, the funny thing is, I have to re-install it because I use the free version, but it takes just a sec.

A Fun Month

Last Wednesday, my Mommy's Mom came to town. I am happy that Mommy's Mom stayed at our house because I liked it. We had a completely jovial time. We went to the Griffith Observatory, it is a place where people can go. You can take a roof access to the roof and look through the telescopes on the observatory part, but the inside is a whole space museum. They have this big scenery about what it would look like if you were holding your finger up to space, that picture shows the amount of space you are covering. It's two stories high and it is a HUGE room. It has two million objects in it, and half of them are galaxies. It is a really cool photograph. It is actually individual tiles but they are placed together like a puzzle very carefully onto the wall, which wasn't there before they restored it. And then I saw a movie in a big movie room with a small screen.

We also went to the Skirball Museum and we saw the Noah's Ark Exhibit and an Exhibit called "All the People in All the World." I liked the way they showed different amounts of people using piles of rice. They had a small one for people that stood on the moon. And there was a really funny pile that made me laugh, because it was hidden in a dark corner, and it was the amount of FBI spies. Get it? The largest pile there was actually the USA pile. Cool, huh?

Right here are some pictures of me at the Skirball. They are from a different visit.

Here is a picture of some of the piles of rice.

I want to go to Las Vegas this month because I would be elated if it happened. And when we got there, I would be filled with mirth because I was going to be excited and my parents were going to rush to St. George to grab something that may turn into my Christmas presents. I like to go to Las Vegas and we may see Hoover Dam this time. I saw it once, it is a HUGE dam, and the water is SUPER deep, and there's this clock tower that comes off the dam that comes off the water, and there is a cement thing leading off the dam that is made of cement, but I don't think any visitors are allowed there. When we go to Las Vegas I would like to play some video games with my cousins. They also have this really cool building set called Connects.

This weekend we are going to have a weekend full of performances. I have to perform two times on Saturday, and once on Sunday. That makes three performances. On Saturday I'm going to sing some Christmas songs at the ward Christmas party, but I also actually have to be in a play at the Ward Christmas Party, I am going to be a Wise Man for the play. The play is actually like a live nativity scene. On Sunday I'm going to sing "Love is Spoken Here" with my mom and dad in front of the whole Senior Primary. The musical talent show is actually supposed to be for the whole Senior Primary only. We don't have a very big Senior Primary.

I really like Christmas morning because I like to open presents.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

guess what?

Yesterday was fun!
These are the pictures of me and my dad at the auto show.

It was fun at the Auto Show, I got to sit inside of cars, and I even got to sit inside a car and do Karaoke and sing "I love rock and roll." I also got to play a little video game and even got to get my picture taken. The pictures are the ones I put above. I got to do a skateboard challenge, I decorated a skateboard and I sent it to my mom using my dad's email address, since I don't really have one. It was super, so fun.

For dinner I went to McDonalds, but never mind that, the Auto Show was super fun!

cool day today..............................

TODAY, I got a haircut at little cutz ( It is mainly for smaller kids so they make their Es backward and Zs instead of Ss. ) and later I will go to the car show.
This is a picture I think is really cool:

When I go to the car show, it's this thing where there's a whole bunch of cars and you can look at them, and some you can get inside, and you can get your picture taken with some of them, and it is all at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Fun Day Today

Tomorrow I'm going to the car show with Daddy and Sophie and tomorrow is Tuesday. We have to do a lot of work because of Thanksgiving. We had Theo the Thankful turkey come back again this year. He has a lot of feathers. At the very bottom of the turkey at his feet, I wrote there, "CDs and CD players." I like CD players. I think they are fun because they play CDs and you actually get to have your own. I share one with Sophie and Mom, and Mom uses it for music class, and Sophie uses it for music she calls rock and roll.

The thankful turkey has pencil at the top of this head (I call it a black-headed turkey) and two green eyes. And I wrote a lot of things I was thankful for [on feathers] including crafts. I was the person in charge of that for the activity for FHE, and I thought it up. We are having a whole bunch of people over for Thanksgiving, and I mean a bunch!!

sorry for the delay. today...................................

SORRY FOR THE DELAY I was busy on Saturday, but I still shot off rockets. I shot off the
Big Bertha twice. On the first blast, her parchute did not open. on her second blast, her parchute
DID open. Then I shot off some Zoomies, and sometimes the Zoomies shot up and glided, like they were supposed to do, but sometimes they landed on the ground before they were supposed to burn out, and once they landed, they were on the ground, and smoke was pouring out their tails until finally the phase ended and the nosecone shot off and it made a popping noise and at that same moment, the Zoomies shot about one hand and a half forward. The Tangents were pretty loud, so I didn't shoot any off. I think I might have given the countdown for a Tangent Brett was shooting off.

Brett is my friend from Cub Scouts, he is Bro. Lewis's son from the Pasadena Ward. He also rode in our station wagon. When we were shooting rockets, I wore a long-sleeved shirt, a hoodie sweater over it, and then my uniform over that. The thing about the tent was, the walls were out of screens, the rain fly was yellow and we put that over the tent. It was cold that night and I didn't get very much sleep because I went to bed at 11:30 p.m. It was pretty late, but I had fun roasting 3 hot dogs over the fire, and getting wood for the fire, and digging a hole up to my waist with Brett. I brought a giant shovel, and that is what I used to dig the hole.

It was the funnest campout I ever was on actually.

The primary program was last week. And Uncle Mike came this morning. Noah called him "Uncle Mack." At first, I thought Noah was calling him "Uncle Matt." Uncle Matt is actually the name of one of my other uncles. It was a cross between "Uncle Mike" and "Uncle Matt." I thought it was kind of funny. Uncle Mike ate lunch with us before he left.

Tomorrow morning I have to remember to tell daddy to call for my haircut. Today I made a chore chart for Cub Scouts and I have to make a health/wellness chart for Cub Scouts, another one, because I wasn't keeping the other one. I wrote a double post today because I didn't write on Saturday. I have a lot more to say about the camp, but that's enough for today.

Today is a fun day...

Later today I am going to camp with dad and we're going to shoot off model rockets. I'm going to shoot of my big red rocket, the Big Bertha, and my dad and I am going to have lots of fun. I am also going to wear my cub scout uniform and later today daddy is going to give me a packing list telling me what I am going to bring. Usually when I go camping, I like to roast marshmellows and hot dogs on the fire. Last time we went camping my dad made a special kind of popcorn, the kind that was inside a pan and roasted it over the camp stove, and the tin foil that was over it blew up like a balloon. Then we opened it up and ate the popcorn.

Last time we went camping I also stayed up until 11 o'clock at night. The time before that when we went to the Father and Son campout, my dad joked about how I could stay up no later than one o'clock in the morning. At first I thought that was true, and then, if I did stay up until 1 o'clock in the morning, I probably would not be able to sleep. This morning, I finished time4learning super early. today was, is, and will be a fun day.

this is what's happening........................................

TODAY,I did time4 learning and it took a while but I got over it and I did 3 x-tables on
mathsisfun.com. My dad will come home tonight. Yesterday, my dad left early in
the morning at 4:00 in the morning before I woke up. When I typed this post, my
little brother, Noah was watching Caillou, a dumb show for little kids and he was watching
it when I was doing L.A. ( language arts ) extentions. I was lucky my mom was
helping me or I would have gotten distracted anyways, this morning, me
and my sister sang "love is spoken here" to my mom.

I'M DOIN' WELL.................................................

YESTERDAY, my daddy helped with scouts and last night mom was typing Noah's first post,
we wanted to see what she was typing and Noah yelled:

NO SEE MY BWOG, GUYS

At Cub Scouts, we were naming tools and Sister Olsen showed the pliers, and Toby said, "They're pli-ers for pulling out wi-res!" We also made Indian Bread--it was fried bread and we boiled in a frying pan and dipped it in cinnamon and sugar. But before we put it in the pan, it looked like modeling clay when we rolled it out, and we rolled it out into shapes but it had to stay flat like play dough.

First Post

Today, I did time4learning and today my dad is helping out with my scout meeting. My scout meetings are later now because of the daylight-savings time-change so it is darker after the meetings. Sometimes I go to the park after Scouts and sometimes my friends go there. At church park I also like to climb the mountain and there's a bamboo forest right next to the mountain. Last night my dad took me to get donuts for Family Home Evening and pump my bicycle tire.

The tent that I got for Christmas a long time ago and I slept in it for a long time, just recently, last August I stopped sleeping in it and put it away. But just recently I just put it up, not to sleep in. But one Friday a month I will sleep in it, on special occassions.

On Saturday there is a 50/50 chance I will go camping. If I go, we will launch off model rockets and since my dad is the scout master and we're doing it for scouts, I will wear my cub scout uniform.
